Pokémon Pack Opening Simulator
Open free virtual Pokémon TCG booster packs from 42 sets, from Base Set to the latest releases. Flip each card and see what you pull.
How to use the Pokémon pack opening simulator
- Choose a set from the list. The newest sets are at the top, and the original Base, Jungle and Fossil sets are at the bottom.
- Tap the pack to open it.
- Tap each card to flip it, or use Reveal all. Tap a revealed card to see it larger.
- Use Open 10 packs to skip straight to your best pulls.
It's completely free, with no login or real money involved, and you can't win or keep any cards.
What's in each simulated pack
| Era | Cards in the simulator | Rare slot |
|---|---|---|
| Mega Evolution, Scarlet & Violet, Sword & Shield | 4 commons, 3 uncommons, 2 reverse-holo slots, 1 rare or better | Odds below |
| Base, Jungle, Fossil | 7 commons, 3 uncommons, 1 rare | Any rare or holo rare, picked at random |
Real packs can also include an energy card and a code card, which aren't shown here. Sword & Shield sets also differ from modern ones, so their packs are only a rough match.
Simulated pull rates
These are the odds the simulator uses for every modern set. They're rounded from TCGplayer pack studies of recent sets, because The Pokémon Company doesn't publish official pull rates, and real odds differ from set to set.
| Result | Chance per pack |
|---|---|
| Illustration Rare tier | 11% |
| Special Illustration Rare tier | 1.2% |
| Hyper Rare tier | 0.3% |
| Double Rare tier | 20.5% |
| Ultra Rare tier | 8.2% |
If a set has no cards in a tier, the simulator gives you the next one down. So don't use this tool to decide whether a real box is worth buying, as it can't tell you what a real pack contains or what its cards are worth.
